2005 Updates for TAPCO's Juice Series, Squeez, and Tweeq Processors and Power Amplifiers Announced at NAMM

January 20, 2005– Anaheim, Ca. –TAPCO announced today the continued development of their popular line of live sound amplifiers and processors. Scheduled for release later in 2005 are updated versions of the Juice Series amplifiers, Squeez SQ•2 compressor/gate, and Tweeq T•231 31-band EQ. All feature enhanced performance, new features, and a fresh new captivating look.

About the TAPCO Juice Series Amplifiers (J-800, J-1400, and J-2500)
With an affordable low price that reaches further into the entry-level market and a smart new design, the new Juice Series amplifiers offer pure premium power untouched by other name-brand amps. Respectively, the J-800 offers 800W at 4 Ohms bridged, J-1400 with 1400W at 4 Ohms bridged, and the J-2500 with 2500W at 4 Ohms bridged. The Juice Series amplifiers are switchable between mono, stereo, or bridged mono operating modes. Connections include separate Speakon® outputs for channel A and channel B, as well as a third Speakon â output for mono bridged applications. A 30 Hz subsonic filter provides low-frequency speaker protection.

About Squeez SQ•2
The new Squeez SQ•2 is a single rack space two-channel compressor/gate with an adjustable “Air” filter that provides a natural high-end for that classic vocal sound of the 60's and 70's. In addition, t he SQ•2's compressor section offers both auto soft-knee and hard-knee curves, while the innovative Soft Gate function provides expansion at the threshold to eliminate clipped gates sounds.

About Tweeq T•231
Tweeq T•231 is a two rack space two-channel 31-band graphic EQ that features smooth precision sliders, switchable 6/12 dB control range for wide or fine adjustment, a variable high pass filter at 10-400 Hz, a low pass filter at 2.5-30 kHz, and independent four-segment level meters on each channel. With an exceptional road-ready construction and great sound quality for its price, the T•231 is ideal for live sound or enhancement of any installed system.
