TAPCO Introduces New Blend 6 Mixer at NAMM

The Blend 6 is the first in the highly anticipated Blend family of affordable, high-quality analog mixers from TAPCO

January 20, 2005– Anaheim, Ca. – First in the new TAPCO Blend family of simple to use, affordable compact mixers comes the Blend 6, a six-channel analog recording and live sound mixer designed by the Mackie engineering team. The Blend 6 is the second mixer developed for the TAPCO brand since it was re-introduction under the LOUD Technologies umbrella in late 2003, and the first model in a forthcoming Blend family, TAPCO’s premium analog mixer range.

The six-channel Blend 6 continues the TAPCO tradition of packing plenty of real-world features into an affordable compact mixer package. Onboard are two high-headroom, low-noise mic preamps, developed by the world-class Mackie engineering team. In addition, the Blend 6 features two mono mic/line/instrument channels, two stereo line channels, a two-band EQ per channel, 48v Phantom power, two aux sends, an eight-segment LED metering, as well as separate phones and control room levels.

“The Blend 6 is a high performance premium analog mixer that’s accessible to virtually everyone,” stated Ray Tantzen, TAPCO Product Manager. “Like other products in the TAPCO line, the new Blend 6 brings trademark Mackie technologies, like low-noise, high-headroom mic premps, to an entry-level market that, up until now, has had to sacrifice quality for affordability.”

Tantzen continues, “With the ever-growing TAPCO product line, we will continue to redefine the price/performance benchmark for these customers."

The TAPCO Blend 6 will be available for authorized TAPCO dealers early 2005 for a manufacturers’ suggested retail price of $149.95. See the entire TAPCO family at the NAMM Convention in Anaheim, California, January 20-23, 2005. TAPCO is located in booth #6690.

About TAPCO
TAPCO revolutionized the pro audio industry back in 1969 with the very first 6-channel PA mixer specifically made for rock 'n' roll. Today, TAPCO has been reborn-backed by the engineering and product development horsepower of Mackie. TAPCO is a LOUD Technologies Inc. brand.
