TAPCO's First Domestic Introduction of the New Blend 6 and Blend 16 Mixers at NAB

April 18, 2005– Las Vegas, Nevada – Following their NAMM show "sneak peek" last January, TAPCO is using the NAB Convention as the official U.S. roll out of their new range of simple to use premium analog mixers, the Blend Series.

"The Blend Series mixers are intended to make high performance analog mixing accessible to virtually anyone," commented TAPCO product manage Ray Tantzen. "They are also intended as a 'step up' to our new entry–level Mix Series, which we are also introducing this week at NAB."

Tantzen continued, "Both models in the family, the Blend 6 and Blend 16, benefit from the design and engineering horsepower of the Mackie engineering team by incorporate trademark Mackie–inspired technologies such as low–noise, high–headroom mic preamps, and rugged construction. But the Blend Series' unique color scheme and competitive price are entirely TAPCO."

About the Blend 6 Analog Mixer
The six–channel Blend 6 continues the TAPCO tradition of packing plenty of real–world features into an affordable compact mixer package. Onboard are two high–headroom, low–noise mic preamps that were designed by the same team behind Mackie's award winning VLZ Pro and Onyx mic preamps.

Also onboard are two mono mic/line/instrument channels, two stereo line channels, a two–band EQ per channel, 48v Phantom power, two aux sends, an eight–segment LED metering, as well as separate phones and control room levels.

The Blend 6's footprint, combined with its affordable price, make it the perfect "swiss army knife" mixer for both live sound and recording applications. The Blend 6 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $129 and is currently available through authorized TAPCO dealers.

About the Blend 16 Analog Mixer
The 16–channel, 4–bus, TAPCO Blend 16 takes affordable desktop or live recording to a whole new level by incorporating a 24–bit, 96kHz USB connection that provides a stereo mix directly into a laptop or desktop computer. The innovative USB interface allows for connectivity with either MAC or PC to send and/or receive a 24–bit/96kHz stereo audio mix.

In addition, the Blend 16 offers a 20–bit digital effects processor, a seven–band graphic EQ, and eight Mackie–designed mic preamps, 4–bus design for flexibility in both live and studio sound applications, a three–band EQ per channel, 48v Phantom power, two aux sends, an eight–segment LED metering, as well as separate phones and control room levels. Available in early Q3, 2005, the Blend 16 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $449.

Both the TAPCO Blend 6 and Blend 16 are currently on display at the NAB Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 18–21, 2005 in booth SL254.
