After nearly a decade of dedication and hard work, Josh One has successfully broken into the big-time DJ scene with a distinctive style that he calls "Soul Hop." Incorporating lots of club-friendly beats and breaks, jazzy horns, and the occasional dub wise flourish, his sensational club hit "Contemplation" has brought his trademark sound to international audiences, making significant waves in Europe and quickly hitting number one on the German club charts.

As the proud new owner of a pair of TAPCO S•5 Active Studio Monitors, Josh One has been working hard in his studio on an upcoming album and loving every minute with his new TAPCOs. "These speakers are perfect for a compact set up like mine," commented Josh. "I recently moved from my old studio, so all I have right now is my Mac G5 laptop and the S•5's. They completely fill up my space with sound. They are such a solid monitor and so easy to move around, that I've been using them non-stop since I got my hands on them five months ago."

Currently in production on his next album due out late 2005, Josh has been working exclusively with the TAPCO S•5's. "I test all of my mixes on the TAPCOs because their sound quality is excellent. They are really loud and the bass is incredible for a five-inch monitor."

But it's not just in the studio where Josh's new TAPCO monitors have impressed. "I once DJ'd with them at an outdoor party in the Hollywood Hills," explains Josh. They were pushed to the max with the red light on the whole time. "Not only did they survive, but they were almost too loud for everyone. It was insane. I was completely amazed at their powerful capabilities."

Josh One has completed a total of 8 successful singles and has recently released his first full-length project titled Narrow Path, some of which was produced using the TAPCO S•5's. "I would recommend the S•5's to anyone in the DJ world. They are just really strong, cool monitors."
