TAPCO Studio Monitors Exceed All Sales Expectations

PLASA, London—September 12, 2004 – Just one year after their successful launch, Loud Technologies is delighted to announce that sales of its TAPCO S•5 active studio monitors have exceeded all sales expectations.

"We knew these monitors would do well, says Martin Warr, Head of UK Sales for Loud Technologies Europe, "but the rate at which they have been flying off the shelves has surprised everyone. We literally can’t get them out to our dealers fast enough."

Warr adds that the figures are especially satisfying given the crowded nature of the loudspeaker market at all price points.

"They are selling particularly well in the UK and France, with the rest of Europe catching up fast," he says. "Although the low price point is obviously a major advantage, I believe the real reason why they are doing so well is because they offer exceptional Mackie quality – and both dealers and customers have been quick to spot this."

TAPCO S•5 monitors incorporate the uncompromising design expertise that has made Loud Technologies’ Mackie speakers some of the most popular and award-winning professional studio monitors in the world.

"We have demo-ed these speakers extensively in order to highlight their technical superiority to other monitors with a similar price point," Warr adds. "People are being led by their ears – once they hear how good they sound they are only too happy to invest in a pair."

The larger TAPCO S•8, which was released a few months after the TAPCO S•5, is also gaining sales momentum. This bigger, louder version features the same acclaimed Mackie sound, making it the most accurate 8" active studio monitor in its class, with a big low-end.
